We offer health education, nutrition education, and other health-related resources to men, women, and children in Central Mississippi on a sliding fee scale. This means receiving comprehensive, high-quality healthcare and education regardless of your ability to pay. For your convenience, we are happy to provide our education and health services in both English and Spanish.

Childhood Health Education

Are you concerned your child isn’t learning enough about how their body works at school? Supplement your child’s health education with the educational resources at G.A. Carmichael Family Health Center. These resources will teach your child about how their body works and how to take care of their bodies to ensure they stay happy and healthy throughout their life. These courses may also include educational materials about your child’s transition into puberty and sexual health.

Childhood health education courses can be found at any of our main sites or any of our school-based health centers for your convenience.

Adult Health Education

Health education isn’t just for children. Many adults can also benefit from our health education courses. These courses will introduce educational materials about how to reduce the risks associated with high blood pressure, high cholesterol, cardiovascular disease, and more. Educational materials may also include how to maintain sexual health with HIV and STI awareness.

We encourage our patients to consider adult health education in the event they are at a high risk of contracting a chronic health condition or sexually transmitted infection or would like more information about keeping their bodies healthy.
